We are proud to announce the release of our Arizona Only Meads for 2017…the Locavore Set!
This year we have Five 375 ml bottles in the Locavore Set, two of which are first batch bottle releases. There will be 45 sets with a limit of 1 set per person, at $175 per set. They will go on sale at 11 am on Saturday, July 15th in the Superstition Meadery Tasting Room. This limited set is so low in number due to the very small quantity of prickly pear and pomegranate juice we received. If you do not get one of these sets, we plan to bottle larger batches of Flora, Fauna, and Out of Time in the near future.
Here are the details:
Honey Super Highway is a 10% ABV sweet prickly pear mead made with Arizona wildflower honey, and cactus fruit that was grown and processed by hand just minutes from our meadery. The label was painted by Superstition Staff Alum Sarah Cupka.
La Granada is a 13% ABV semi-sweet mead made with Arizona mesquite honey, and pomegranates which were grown and juiced near Wilcox, Arizona. Art also by Sarah Cupka.
Out of Time is a 15% ABV semi-sweet cyser (apple mead) made with Arizona wildflower honey, and a blend of apple varieties grown and juiced by our friend Dwight English of the English Family Fruit Farm near Wilcox, Arizona. Art also by Sarah Cupka.
Flora is a 13.5% ABV semi-sweet traditional mead made with Arizona wildflower honey. It is delicious, and this is batch 1. The label was designed by local graphic artist Matthias Petsche to evoke a traditional naturalist illustration of wildflowers native to Arizona.
Fauna is an off-dry 13.5% ABV traditional mead made with Arizona mesquite honey. This mead is perfect for when you crave a clean and simple mead that drinks drier than most, yet still imparts a beautiful sense of desert terroir. Also batch 1 and label design by Matthias Petsche.
We hope to see you in Prescott on Saturday.
Cheers,
Everyone at Superstition Meadery
