KIMONO DRAGON RELEASE!

Aug 31, 2017 | Upcoming Bottle Release

On Saturday September 2nd at 1200 (Noon) AZ/Pacific time we are releasing Batch 1 of Kimono Dragon on the Superstition Webstore with a 6 bottle limit. KD is packaged in 375 ml Flute Altus bottles made of clear glass, finished with our branded and hand-punched Portuguese corks and costs $35. This mead is our first bottled release of a collaboration with a brewery, which happens to be one of our favorites…Cycle Brewing. Charlie from Cycle and I came up with this idea during the Copenhagen Beer Celebration in May, and unlike many drunken plans I have made, this one came to fruition.

KD is a semi-sweet small batch mead made with Arizona wildflower honey, custom roasted Ghanaian Cacao nibs that Charlie brought us from Cycle’s favorite Chocolatier in Florida, 140 pounds of red dragon fruit that Charlie picked up from a dragon fruit orchard in Florida and drove across the US to our production facility, and a blend of 200 pounds of whole pitted sweet and tart cherries.

Like coffee forward and hopped meads, we recommend enjoying this mead fresh, and chilled.

We will have a 1 case limit in the Tasting Room, available when we open our doors at 11 am, no holds please. We hope to see you Saturday in Prescott, or online!

FYI: Due to Arizona Liquor Law we will not be able to ship in 2018, based on our production eventually increasing beyond 20,000 gallons. The Superstition Mead Webstore will be closing forever, so act now through the end of 2017 to take advantage of being able to order online!
